Parents Council
Learning does not end with the school day. At Freedom Academy, our parents are counted on to continue student learning and to be and active partner in their child’s education. Whether at home (studying or checking homework) or at the school (meeting with teachers and staff) Freedom parents maintain a visible presence in their children’s learning.
In order to facilitate parent involvement at the school, Freedom Academy created a Parents Council. The goals of the Parents Council are to:
Monthly meetings are held at either school from 6 PM – 8 PM when parents are given information on current school events and allowed to openly discuss school matters. The Council also hosts parent training classes, which offer Freedom parents the opportunity to learn and ask questions about common parenting practices and issues they face with their families.
Please contact the Parents Council for more information on upcoming events and opportunities to get involved at the school.

Parents
A child’s greatest teacher is his/her parents, and Freedom Academy values the enormous role our parents play in the education of our students.
A caring and well-informed parent population is a cornerstone of Freedom Academy’s model of holistic learning, and parents are a welcomed presence in the day-to-day affairs of our school. Whether it’s as a volunteer teacher aid in our early grades, a chaperon on a class field trip, or a parent representative on our Board of Trustees, Freedom parents are one of our most invaluable resources.
Each year, parents sign a Parent Partnership Agreement that pledges their commitment to Freedom’s school policies, to being an active partner in their child’s education, and to volunteering a minimum of 40 hours of involvement at the school.
Our parent involvement is facilitated by the Freedom Parents Council. The Parents Academy specializes in monthly parent training series intended to strengthen parent leadership, while the Parents Council offers a community of fellow parents that extends well beyond the school’s doors.
